01What you can do
Watch a live room
Hosts stream video; you watch, type in the room chat, follow, and send gifts. Rooms carry a viewer count, a gift leaderboard and, when two hosts face off, a PK bar with a contribution ranking on each side.
Send a gift
Gifts run on diamonds, bought as a consumable in-app purchase through the App Store. A gift is spent the moment it is sent — it is not a balance you can withdraw or transfer.
Message one to one
Private chats are text only — words and emoji, plus gifts. There is no photo, voice or video messaging: nothing you send in a chat leaves your device except the text you typed.
Find people
Browse by region: a Global feed plus the regions the service lists, which vary over time. Follow the hosts you like so their rooms surface first, or search a nickname or a UID directly.
02Signing in
One way in: a single Sign up button. There is no email address, no phone number, no one-time code, no password and no social sign-in. The button is inert until you tick the line agreeing to the Child Safety Standards and the Privacy Policy. After that you pick an avatar, a nickname, a date of birth, a gender and a country.
What that convenience costs, stated plainly: your account lives on the device it was created on. It is issued against a device identifier, so there is nothing to type in on a new phone and nothing to reset. Reinstalling the app on the same device normally finds the same account; a new device opens a new, empty one.
Changing phones, or lost the old one? Write to us from the old device if you still have it, quote the UID shown on your profile, and a person will move the account over. The support page says what to include.
Age requirement
You must be 18 or over to use Sawtix. Profile setup asks for a date of birth and it is stored on the account. Being exact about the limit of that: this is a declared age, not a verified one — we do not run an identity check, and nothing stops a different date being typed into the field. We would rather name that than let it sound stronger than it is.
What backs it up is enforcement after the fact. Reporting is available from inside any room, an account belonging to a minor is removed along with its content, and a report about a minor is the highest priority we handle — say so in the description. Our standards for child safety, and how to reach the person responsible for them, are on the Child Safety Standards page.
03How moderation actually runs
- Live video and room chat are handled on report, not screened up front. A stream is not reviewed before it reaches you, and neither is what someone types in the room. Reporting is the backstop and it is one tap from the room.
- A report carries the account reported, the room it happened in, your description, up to three screenshots and an optional email address to reach you on. Say in the description what the problem is — the form does not ask you to pick a category. It is read and acted on by the person who runs Sawtix; the app does not show a status back, so if a case is urgent, say so by email as well.
- Live rooms have no host-side controls in this version. A host cannot mute or eject a viewer; the room chat is moderated by us on report, and you can always leave.
- There is no self-serve block list yet. This is the control most people reach for first, and it is honestly not there in this version — reporting an account, and emailing us if it continues, is what we have. It is the next thing we are building.
- Enforcement follows a ladder: content removal, room restrictions, loss of host access, then account termination. Severe categories — anything involving a minor, in particular — skip straight to the end of it.
What is never allowed anywhere on Sawtix, and what happens after you file, is on the safety page.
04Diamonds, gifts and what they are not
Diamonds are bought in the wallet as a consumable in-app purchase through the App Store — the only payment route in the app. Nothing on Sawtix is a subscription and nothing renews on its own. Every purchase is verified against Apple's servers before the balance moves, which is why a slow receipt can leave the app waiting for a moment.
A diamond spent on a gift is gone. It does not convert back to money, it cannot be withdrawn, and it cannot be moved to another account — including to a new account on a new phone, which is the other reason the device-tied account is worth understanding early.
A purchase that was charged but did not arrive is a refund matter for the store, not for us, and we can only look up the order. The support page has both routes.
Leaving, and taking your data
Log out is in the app, under Profile → About Us → Log out. It ends the session and clears the local data on that device.
To have the account and its data erased, email us from the device that holds it and quote your UID; we remove the profile, the content posted from it and the balance, and confirm when it is done. The same address handles a copy of your data. What survives either way: messages other people were sent belong to their accounts, and payment and risk-control records are kept where law requires it. See section 2 of the Privacy Policy.
05Need a person?
Reporting and logging out work inside the app without waiting for us. Four things need a person, and all four go to the same inbox: moving an account to a new phone, deleting an account, a copy of your data, and appealing a decision. Start on the support page — it lists what to include so the first reply can be an answer rather than a question.
