01Never allowed, anywhere on Sawtix
These apply in live rooms, private messages, nicknames, avatars and room titles alike. There is no "but it was in a private room" exception.
- Anything sexual involving a minor. Content, solicitation, grooming, or presenting a minor sexually — in any form, in any room. This ends an account immediately and is reported onward; see the Child Safety Standards.
- Minors on the platform at all. Sawtix is 18+. An account belonging to someone under 18 is removed when we find it, whether or not anything else went wrong.
- Sexual content and nudity. Explicit acts, exposed genitals or sexual services offered on stream or in a chat.
- Harassment and hate. Targeted abuse, threats, sustained pile-ons, or attacks on people for who they are.
- Fraud. Payment scams, fake giveaways, phishing for account access, impersonating another person or claiming to speak for Sawtix, and pressuring people into sending gifts under a false story.
- Violence and self-harm. Threats, graphic violence, and encouraging suicide or self-harm.
- Illegal goods and activity. Drugs, weapons, stolen accounts and data, gambling operated outside the app.
- Spam. Bulk unsolicited messages, room-hopping advertising, bots, and traffic sent off-platform for payment.
- Other people's privacy. Posting someone's personal details, or recording and re-posting them without consent.
02How to report
Two routes, both of them one tap from where the problem is:
- From a live room
- The more menu in the room → Report, the only item in it. The app asks you to confirm first, because filing closes the room and opens the form in its place — leaving is the price of filing, not an accident. Filing from inside the room attaches the host's account and the room for us.
- From your profile
- Profile → Feedback for everything else, including anything you want to raise that is not about one specific room.
The form asks for a description, up to three screenshots, and an email address we can reply on. It does not ask you to pick a category, so say in the description what the problem is — the list below is what we sort a report into once it reaches us, and naming it there is what makes that quick. The email field is optional and it is the only way we can come back to you: without it a report is one-way.
| Spam | Bulk messages, advertising, bots, off-platform traffic. |
|---|---|
| Nudity | Sexual content or exposure on a stream, or sexual solicitation in a chat. |
| Harassment | Targeted abuse, threats, hate, sustained pile-ons. |
| Fraud | Scams, phishing, impersonation, gift-baiting under a false story. |
| Underage | An account that appears to belong to someone under 18. Use this even if you are unsure. |
| Other | Anything the five above do not cover. Describe it in the text field. |
Screenshots matter more than they sound. A live stream is gone the moment it ends — a screenshot is often the only record that survives long enough for us to act on.
03What happens after you file
The report arrives with the account, the room, your text and your screenshots attached. We sort it into one of the categories above, review it against the rules in section 01, and act on the account, the content, or both.
If a case is urgent, or if you need to know the outcome, email us as well — give the account name or UID, the room, and roughly when it happened, and a person will answer. That address is on the support page.
Enforcement follows a ladder, and where a case enters it depends on severity and on history:
- Content removed — a message, an avatar, a room title, a stream taken down.
- Room-level restriction — muted in the room chat, locked out of a room.
- Host access withdrawn — the account can still watch, but not stream.
- Account suspended, then terminated. Purchases are not refunded on termination for cause.
Anything involving a minor skips the ladder and goes straight to termination, plus the steps described on the Child Safety Standards page.
Think we got it wrong? Appeals go to the same inbox. Quote the account and describe what you think was misread, and the decision gets looked at again from the start. Being straight about the limit of that: Sawtix is run by one person, so an appeal is a second look by the same person rather than an independent review — say what we missed and it will be read on its merits.
04What you control right now
Two lists, because the difference matters when something is happening to you at that moment.
Things that work instantly, without us
- Leaving. Closing a room ends the connection. Nothing follows you out.
- Your microphone. Nothing in this version transmits it — watching a live room only receives, and private chats are text only.
- Your camera. Nothing in this version opens it — an avatar is picked from your photo library, not taken in the app, and watching a live room does not use the camera.
- Your photo library. Read only when you pick an avatar or attach a screenshot to a report — those are the only two places the app opens it, and it reads just the image you chose. A chat cannot send a photo at all.
- Logging out. Profile → About Us → Log out ends the session and clears the local data on that device.
Things that are honestly not here yet
- Blocking. There is no self-serve block list in this version. Report the account and, if it continues, email us — we can act on the account itself. We know this is the first control most people reach for and it is the next one we are building.
- Host controls in a live room. A live host cannot mute or eject a viewer; the room chat is handled by us on report.
- Report status. As above — nothing comes back inside the app.
If someone is in danger
If you believe someone is at immediate risk of harm — themselves or anyone else — contact your local emergency services first. We cannot dispatch help and we are not a crisis service.
Then tell us, with the account and the room, so we can preserve what we have and act on it. For anything involving a minor, the Child Safety Standards page names the contact and the reporting routes, including the ones that do not go through us at all.
